Denmark Constitution Day

Denmark Constitution Day
On June 5th, Danes celebrate Constitution Day, remembering that on that day in 1849, the Danish Constitution was signed for the first time, and that four subsequent revisions to the document were also signed. Constitution Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Denmark since it is the closest thing to a national day that the country has. Annually on June 5th, Danes gather in large numbers for a wide variety of religious and nonreligious ceremonies commemorating the day when democracy was established in their country.
